2016 Fundraisers

In the beginning (2016) and extending into the school centennial year of 2017 we had a Founding Membership Drive.  For a minimum $100 donation you became a Founding Member and your name would be on the plaque listing all founding members. This project enabled us to raise the $10,000 necessary to receive an additional $2,000 from the Communities Foundation. Every donor was important but the $2500 from the Hardesty Foundation (Donna Manley Hardesty (Class of 1955) & her husband, Roger Hardesty) and then the $1,000 from Farmers Bank just before the deadline were crucial.

Recent Success

Carrie Marshall, Carnegie Elementary School teacher, received a $185.00 Document Camera grant provided by the Carnegie Wildcat Education Endowment Fund.

The document camera is being used for learning in a variety of ways. It is being used as a webcam to record student speeches in the classroom.

“It gives every student a front row seat as they are shown how to work with math manipulatives and gives them something to take home and they are using it to show the entire class of second graders,” said Mrs. Marshall.

Grants totaling $2,635.73 were awarded by the fund in November 2018.
